Tibetan Buddhist Master 1st Karmapa Statue
Tibetan Buddhist Master, 1st Karmapa, is depicted in this statue. We have traditionally hand carved this statue in a pure copper body and gilded it with 24k gold. The artist of Kathmandu valley has sculpted and turquoise this sculpture with precious corals and stones. This artisan of Nepal has been passed from generation to generation which is very familiar in Vajrayana Buddhism. Master is seated atop a moon disc lotus seat with a calm and serene expression. The lotus seat, rob, and other ritual ornaments are embellished with valuable gems and painted with acrylic colors.

Karmapa is the embodiment of all buddha actions or the one who engages in buddha activity. Great enlightened Buddhist masters are supposed to be able to consciously control their reincarnation in the Tibetan tradition in order to continue their work for the benefit of all sentient beings. The appearance of a Buddhist master, who would be known as the Karmapa, had been foretold by the historical Buddha Shakyamuni and the renowned tantric master of India, Guru Padmasambhava, prior to the birth of the first Karmapa.
