Intricately handcrafted in our workshop, the 9th Karmapa Wangchug Dorje Statue is full of unique Himalayan artistry. The statue is comprised of copper, which is then gilded in gold producing the final luster. This statue depicts the 9th Karmapa, one of the most revered spiritual leaders in Tibetan Buddhism, seated atop a moon disc lotus seat beside a fully blossomed Utpala flower. He can be seen performing the 'Karana Mudra' by his left hand.
Crafted from a solid copper body and embellished with 24K gold gilding, this statue emits a warm, inviting glow that showcases the exquisite features of the Karmapa's traditional attire and tranquil countenance. The acrylic paintings give bright accents to the statue's visual appeal, making it a standout item in any environment. Karmapa is the embodiment of all buddha actions or the one who engages in buddha activity. Wangchuk Dorje, the 9th Karmapa (1556–1603), was a well-known Karma Kagyu lineage leader in Tibetan Buddhism who was renowned for his in-depth teachings and wide-ranging trips across Tibet. He wrote important books on Mahamudra meditation, including "Ocean of Definitive Meaning," which are still vital to the Kagyu lineage. He was known for his spiritual insight and compassion, and he was instrumental in keeping the Karma Kagyu lineage alive throughout challenging times. His influential writings and teachings continue to inspire and lead today's practitioners.
