The Amitabha Buddha, also known as Infinite Light, is shown magnificently in this statue. This statue is hand carved in Kathmandu by a Nepali artist in copper and gilded 24K Gold. Seated in a lotus pose, clad in monk's robes, He is carrying a bowl containing the nectar of immortality with his hands folded and facing up in meditation mudra (samadhi).
Amitayus is Amitabha's emanation, represented with elegant clothing, jewels, and a five-pointed crown.
