Amitayus Buddha Sculpture Art
The sculpture art of Amitayus Buddha is hand-carved in a calm and peaceful face. He is seated in vajra posture on a lotus seat, shown as holding a long-life vase filled with amrita. He is one of the principal deities amongst three major long-life deities. He is adorned with beautifully carved precious gemstones. His mantra is " Om Amarani Jiwantiye Soha."
Even though Amitabha and Amitayus are the same entity, no one can explain the difference in appearance because Amitabha is the form body and Amitayus is the apparitional body. The ultimate truth body is devoid of description is said.
