Himalayan Nepalese Amitayus Bodhisattva Statue
The Amitayus Bodhisattva Statue was expertly hand-carved in Nepal at our studio in the traditional Himalayan manner. We created a figurine with a body made entirely of pure copper and gilded in 24k real gold. Here the deity is portrayed with a serene expression, holding an alms bowl while perched on a moon disc lotus seat. We guarantee that the statue's materials are of the most excellent quality and last very long. The crown and the body ornaments are adorned with semi-precious gemstones. The gold gilding gives the statue a magnificent shine. The elaborate artistic patterns were hand-carved using a hammer and tiny chisels.

Amitayus, of the Aparimitagunasamchaya or Amitavyhavat pure world, is usually shown in his apparitional buddha form (sambhogakaya), red in color, wearing a crown and jewels, and holding a long-life vase over two hands in a meditation gesture. A Buddha is said to have three bodies in the Mahayana Buddhist tradition: a form body (nirmanakaya), an apparitional body (sambhogakaya), and an ultimate truth body (sambhogakaya) (dharmakaya).
