Traditionally Hand-Carved Gold-Gilded Buddha Gotama Statue
We are the Kathmandu Valley artist who diligently crafted this magnificent Buddha Gotama Statue using traditional Himalayan sculpting methods. In this statue, we have depicted the historical Shakyamuni Buddha seated on a moon disc lotus seat. The deity holds an alms bowl with his left hand while his right hand is on earth-touching mudra. We molded the figurine using a copper body and then hand-carved intricate design patterns using a hammer and chisels. To do delicate carvings, artists must have decades of experience as he has to create intricate design patterns on a small surface area. Then we gilded the deity using genuine 24K gold. To highlight the facial attributes of the deity, acrylic paints were used. We also adorned the deity with precious gemstones on the robe and an alms bowl. The figurine weighs about 22.98 kg and took us years of hard work to complete it.
This Shakyamuni Buddha statue will be a perfect gift from Nepal to a devotee like you that will aid you in your practices and regular activities such as meditation and yoga.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
