Amitayus is a manifestation of Amitabha, a Buddha who declared that he would transport his devotees to his Pure Land whenever they passed away. The statue was constructed using a copper body and gilded with 24-karat genuine gold. The acrylic paint highlights the statue further, giving it a striking aspect. The deity is depicted holding an alms bowl across her lap while reclining on a moon disc lotus with a serene look. The robe has intricate design patterns. All of which are hand-carved using a hammer and chisel. The gilding of the gold alongside polishing gives this statue a lustrous shine. This statue weighs about 9.45kg.
