Chenrezig Buddha Statue Crafted in Traditional Himalayan Art
Hand-carved with turquoise and coral, the Buddha Chenrezig Avalokiteshvara sculpture has a serene and peaceful expression on the deities face. Carved from a pure copper body and then gilded with 24k gold in our studio. The statue depicts the deity with his four-armed configuration, signifying his presence in both worlds. At his heart, where two of his hands are clasped together, he is holding the Chintamani, the wish-fulfilling diamond of enlightenment. The body is exquisitely covered in majestic robes and body ornaments which signifies the importance of the deity. Chenrezig is the Compassionate Protector of Tibet and the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Tibetan Buddhists see His Holiness the Dalai Lama as the earthly manifestation of this compassion Buddha.
