The Dakini Machig Labdron Statue stands 13.6 inches tall, with an 8.1-inch base width, and weighs 2.25 kg. The statue is made of copper and is coated with 24K gold. It is also adorned with delicate gold and acrylic paintings. Every detail of this sculpture depicts the soul of Machig Labdron, a legendary Tibetan dakini, and yogini known for her profound understanding and practice of Chöd.
In the statue, the Yogini can be seen serenely standing atop a moon disc lotus seat in a tree position as she holds a ritual bell in her left hand and a golden drum in her right hand. She has a third eye on her forehead. This statue is the result of hand carvings done over several months by our Vajrayan Artists.

Machig was a self-styled beggar woman and was a distinctive individual for being a Tibetan Woman and the progenitor of a particular tradition. Her life is an inspiring story of a committed practitioner, at-times beggar woman, brilliant teacher, mother, and lineage founder. This tradition spread back into the Buddhist motherland of India. It was a cause for great national pride in Tibet. And she left a tremendous legacy of her teachings.
