Buddhist Deity Green Tara Handmade Statue
Green Tara, the Buddhist deity, is made by a Kathmandu craftsman. The handmade sculpture features two eyes and sits in her royal ease positions. Her right leg is stretched forward, indicating that she is ready to act. She holds a blue lotus, also known as utpala. A half-opened lotus, representing darkness, is usually depicted as Green Tara. The headdress and precious ornaments are finely carved.
