Classic Statue of Dhyani Buddha Amitabha in Meditation
We are Kathmandu Valley artists who have been creating Vajrayana sculptures that have been passed down from generation to generation, like this Dhyani Buddha Amitabha statue. The Buddha is depicted in this statue serenely seated on a moon disc lotus, with an alms bowl on his lap and his hands in the precise position of a "Dhyan Mudra," which is a characteristic hand gesture of Amitabha Buddha. The statue is full of intricate patterns and motifs that our artists hand-carved out of oxidized copper over the course of several months.
It is beautifully painted with acrylic color enhancing his sublimity. This piece is an excellent souvenir for any devotee like yourself and can be used in your daily practices and activities of meditation and yoga.
