Arya Jambhala/ Dzambhala is considered as the one of the most popular and powerful the of Wealth Gods .There are five different wealth Jambhalas among them yellow Jambhala is known as the guardian of light in Buddhism, a great charitable deity who grants fortune and protection. He is the emanation of Buddha Ratnasambhava. He is also said to be emanation of Vaisravana, one of the Four Great World-protecting Heavenly kings. His mantra is "Om jambhala Jalendraye Suvaha."
Once, many eons ago, Jambala took birth in the world known as Hoetzer Jyapa, meaning a hundred light rays. This was a land of great wealth where famines, natural calamities, and wars were unheard of. Here too, in this most fortunate world, the Buddha Nime Shel propagated the teachings of Mahayoga. During this prosperous life, Jambala prayed fervently, with the noble motivation to help the poor and unfortunate, that he would be reborn as a god of wealth. After this noble life and according to his wishes, he was reborn as a prince in a kingdom north of Mt. Meru ruled by Vaisravana, one of the chief gods of wealth. Thereafter he is said to continue fulfilling his vow to help all sentient beings with his generosity through all times. In certain texts, it is mentioned that Jambala endows his devotees with both material and spiritual wealth, the former actually helping to create the right conditions for acquiring the latter.
