Hand Crafted The Dzambhala Wrathful Statue, Buddhist Wealth Deity
An artist from Kathmandu hand-carved the Dzambhala Wrathful statue, the Deity of Wealth. This sculpture is coated with 24k gold paint, and it depicts the deity seated upon a moon disc lotus with his right leg on the edge of the seat and left leg tucked inwards. The artist presents this statue as imposing, with the face turned downward, a Bodhisattva's crown, ornaments, and a greatly enlarged stomach. His most distinctive characteristic is his mongoose Nehulay, which he carries in his left hand and a citron fruit he holds in the other hand. The statue is highlighted more by the acrylic paint giving it a captivating appearance. This statue was created over the course of more than a month by a number of professional Kathmandu valley artists.
