Historical Shakyamuni Buddho Meditation Statue
The Earth Touching Buddha Statue was expertly hand-carved in our studio using traditional Himalayan craftsmanship. Here in the statue, we have depicted the deity meditating while seated on a moon disc lotus seat. Shakyamuni Buddha holds an alms bowl with his left hand while his right hand is in an earth-touching mudra. His body is wrapped with a hand-carved robe. It is filled with intricate design patterns. We have guided the face using genuine 24K gold and the edge of the robe as well. The robe itself has been elegantly silver-plated. This combination of silver plating and gold gilding gives the statue mesmerizing appearance. We used a hammer and small chisels to hand-carve the intricate design patterns. To do delicate carvings, artists must have decades of experience as he has to create intricate design patterns on a small surface area.
This Shakyamuni Buddha statue will be a perfect gift from Nepal to a devotee like you that will aid you in your practices and regular activities such as meditation and yoga.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
