Hand-Carved Five Dhyani Buddhas Statues for Meditation and Ritual
This hand-carved copper five dhyani buddhas statues set depicts (left to right) Ratnasambhava, Vairochana, Aksobhya, Amoghasiddhi, and Amitabha Buddha. The statue's copper body is gilded in gold resulting in its final luster. All five Buddhas are depicted seated atop a moon disc lotus seat, each of the Buddhas portraying their characteristic mudra.
Ratnasambhava can be seen performing the "Varada mudra," or the mudra of generosity, symbolizing his ability to grant wishes and fulfill desires.
Vairochana Buddha can be seen performing the "Dharmachakra mudra," or the mudra of teaching, symbolizing his role as a teacher of the dharma.
Aksobhya Buddha portrays the "Bhumisparsa mudra," or the mudra of touching the earth, symbolizing the moment Buddha attained enlightenment claiming the earth its witness.
Amoghasiddhi Buddha can be seen performing the "Abhaya mudra," or the mudra of fearlessness, symbolizing his protection and dispelling of fear.
Amitabha Buddha portrays the "Dhyana mudra," or the mudra of meditation, symbolizing his attainment of enlightenment through meditation.
