Hand-Carved Ganesha Statue Gilded with 24k Gold
Traditionally crafted, this Ganesha Statue is coated in a thick sheet of genuine 24k gold and to highlight the details the artists have painted the statue with acrylic paint in our studio, Kathmandu. The deity is depicted standing upon Mooshak his vaahan or vehicle. The depiction of Mooshak depicts the Ganesha's ability to overcome anything to get what he wants. Like a rat and like an elephant, Ganesha is a remover of obstacles. He has an elephant face with three eyes. His eyes are symbolic of wisdom and enlightenment. He is depicted with four hands in which he holds a lotus in one hand, a representation of enlightenment. He is holding a hatchet with his other hand.
