Traditionally Hand Carved Green Tara Bodhisattva Statue
In traditional Buddhist meditation, we sculpted this Green Tara Bodhisattva Statue. Kathmandu artists have carved Buddhist deities, and it is a sacred art style with significant value for Buddhist practitioners. This statue took months to sculpt on a copper body gilded in 24k gold. Her left leg is half crossed, and her right leg is spread out on a lotus seat. She wears beautiful bodhisattva jewels and a crown set with rich stones and corals. Her left hand holds a lotus stem (utpala) while her right hand makes an earth-touching gesture.

Green Tara is the manifestation from where all of Tara's other forms emerge, connected with enlightened action and active compassion. Tara is the most revered Tibetan Buddhist pantheon's female enlightened deities. She is "the mother of all buddhas" and "she who ferries beings over the ocean of samsara" since she is the embodiment of enlightened love and compassion.
