Guru Padmasambhava Statue, The Magical Lotus-Born
Guru Padmasambhava, also known as The magical Lotus-born, is shown in this magnificent statue. A Nepali artisan in Kathmandu crafted this Guru Rinpoche statue out of copper and plated it with 24K gold. He wears a lotus hat and appears like a monarch. He wields a Vajra with five sharp edges in his right hand and a skullcap, and a jar of immortality in his left. The holy staff indicated a king-sitting in his left elbow. The trident is meticulously crafted to capture all of the guru rinpoche's characteristics. There are three heads on the trident, with a trishool at the top. He wears exquisite robes with valuable corals inlaid, which adds to the pattern's appeal. This seat is similarly adorned with corals, and the layers of lotus petals are skillfully carved to give it the appearance of a lotus. His earlobes are long with precious ornaments on

Guru Rinpoche was born 3,060 years ago in the Fire Monkey Year, 12 years after Buddha attained parnirvana following Buddha's prophesy. Although there might be differences in calculations and dates, he said it was necessary to study the life and teachings of Guru Padmasambhava and appreciate his wisdom.
