Handmade Copper Sculpture of Guru Padmasambhava
We, the artist of the Kathmandu valley have finely handmade the Guru Padmasambhava sculpture in the classic Himalayan Art style. The statue of Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Rinpoche, is a key figure in Tibetan Buddhism and a prominent figure in Vajrayana Buddhism. The deity in the statue is depicted seated on a lotus, holding Vajra in his right hand and a skull cup loaded with immortality nectar in his left. There is also Khatvang trident designed with three Skullhead and trishool on top in the curve of his left hand. The body is molded using oxidized copper. The whole molding process and the tantric hat with three eagle wings on top and a beautifully designed rich patterned robe took more than months for us to complete.
This art of Himalayan will be a tremendous mediational gift from Nepal to a practitioner like you.

For most Himalayan Buddhists, Guru Rinpoche is the second Buddha, the Buddha of all enlightenment forms and teachings, with a focus on the tantras. Tantra teaches us first to see our teachers as Guru Rinpoche, just as the Great Way leads us to see and name our enlightened nature as Buddha-nature. Then we see everything through the eyes of Guru Rinpoche, right down to our atoms, all beings equally, and every scrap of every blade of grass, every grain of sand. Finally, when we recognize our natural, timeless awareness, we recognize Guru Rinpoche.
