Traditionally Hand Carved Healing Medicine Buddha Statue
The Healing Medicine Buddha Statue was exclusively carved by the master craftsmen of Nepal in our studio. The figure was carved using a copper body gilded with 24k genuine gold over the body. The use of acrylic paint further highlights the intricate design patterns. The deity is depicted seated upon a moon disc lotus with a peaceful expression as he holds an alms bowl with his left hand and a myrobalan plant Indus right hand. The body is draped in kasaya robes which have been flawlessly carved according to the iconography shown in the scriptures. You can use the statue for various Buddhist rituals as well as everyday meditational practices.

Medicine Buddha, also known as Bhaishajyaguru in Sanskrit, is regarded as the Buddha of Healing. His teachings aim to free sentient beings from sickness, pain, anguish, and unhappiness while also emphasizing the need to acquire prosperity and enjoyment in this life. Many meditators in the Mahayana tradition admire his healing abilities. He is frequently shown with a blue (lapis lazuli) body and hands carrying a begging bowl and medical herbs.
