24K Gold Gilded Karma Pakshi "The 2nd Karmapa" Figurine for Dharma
This elaborately detailed monument celebrates Karma Pakshi, the famed 2nd Karmapa and enlightened teacher of the Kagyu lineage, and his wisdom and teachings. Standing 10.6"/27 cm tall and resting on a 7.9"/20 cm base, this artwork embodies spiritual elegance and force. The statue, which weighs 2.61 kg, is composed of copper and embellished with 24K gold-gilded surfaces, as well as gold and acrylic paintings that bring out the holy aura of the 2nd Karmapa.

It took more than a month for us to sculpt this figurine since we had to carve and design the robe, black crown, and other essentials in the traditional Tibetan style. The second Gyalwa Karmapa was Karma Pakshi. He was a gifted child who, by age 10, had already acquired knowledge of Dharma philosophy and meditation. Drogon Rechen, the spiritual heir of the first Karmapa, had given the whole Kagyu transmission to his teacher, Pomdrakpa. Pomdrakpa understood that the kid in his care was the reincarnation of Dusum Khyenpa, as stated in the letter sent to Drogon Rechen, through a series of clear visions.
