Perfect for Meditation Altar Large 55cm Guru Rinpoche Statue
This hand-carved Guru Rinpoche Statue, also known as Guru Padmasambhava and Lotus Born Master, is made with intricate details and stands at a large size. It will add a sense of reverence and spirituality to any space and is a perfect centerpiece for meditation rooms or home altars.
A Nepali artisans handmade this copper statue in Kathmandu, which was then gilded in 24K gold. Padmasambhava sits on a lotus throne, holding a vajra in his right hand and a skull cup containing the nectar of wisdom and immortality in his left. A "khatvanga" (holy trident) with three severed heads rests on his left shoulder, representing liberation from the three primary sources of misery (kaya). His garments are beautifully sculpted with excellent decorations, and his distinctive headdress is capped with an eagle feather.

Guru Rinpoche is also known as Padmasambhava Guru Rinpoche. The Buddha of Infinite Light's blessed ray reached a lotus 12 years after the Buddha's Parinirvana when Guru Rinpoche miraculously arose. He left the royal palace to use sacred teachings and authority to help a more significant number of beings. His mighty powers pacified many hostile forces opposing his enlightening operations.
