24k Gold Gilded and Purely Hand Carved Machig Labdron Sculpture
The Machig Labdron Sculpture was purely hand-carved by the master craftsmen of Nepal with flawless design in our studio. Carved from a single copper body then gilded with genuine 24k gold. Highlighting the design is the acrylic paint done to highlight the significance of the deity. Standing upon a lotus disc in a dancer like pose she holds a golden drum facing upward to the sky, while her left hand holds a bell close to her hip. She is adorned with bones and precious ornaments with a magnificently crafted. A fiery halo blazes behind the statue. This magnificent sculpture of the Machg labdron will be a wonderful present to a practitioner like you.

Machig was a self-styled beggar woman and was a distinctive individual for being the Tibetan Woman and the progenitor of a particular tradition. Her life is an inspiring story of a committed practitioner, at-times beggar woman, brilliant teacher, mother, and lineage founder. This tradition spread back into the Buddhist motherland of India. It was a cause for great national pride in Tibet. And she left a tremendous legacy of her teachings.
