Auspicious Maitreya Buddha Statue Seated on Throne
We have portrayed the sculpture of Maitreya Buddha sitting on a throne with a peaceful expression. The throne is mesmerizing, exquisitely painted with acrylic colors and elegantly designed and adorned with precious embellishments. Underneath the parasol, we have depicted the hand-carved deity in a pure copper body gilded with genuine 24k gold. It took more than a month to complete this sculpture since we had to work in detail on the robe, crown, and throne design. He holds a lotus in both hands, and about lotus, a wheel, and a treasure vase are placed on the right and left sides, respectively. This art of Himalayan will be a tremendous meditational gift from Nepal to a practitioner like you.

Maitreya, in Buddhist tradition, the future Buddha, presently a bodhisattva residing in the Tushita heaven, who will descend to earth to preach anew the dharma (“law”) when the teachings of Gautama Buddha have completely decayed. Maitreya is the earliest Bodhisattva around whom a cult developed and is mentioned in scriptures from the 3rd century CE. He was accepted by all schools of Buddhism and is still the only bodhisattva generally honored by the Theravada tradition.
