Traditionally Hand-Carved Buddhist Mayadevi Statue
We hand-crafted a small Mayadevi Statue in our studio in traditional Himalayan art of Nepal. Mayadevi is the mother of Gautama buddha. We have depicted her standing atop of moon disc of lotus. We have adorned her with beautiful ornaments and intricate details of carving on her garments. Our craftsmanship has been passed down to us for generations specializing in sculpting sacred deities. The statue has an antique finish, ideal for decorating your home or gifting to your loved ones.

Maya Devi, widely regarded as the mother of Gautam Buddha, the "Light of Asia," was the queen of Kapilvastu, Lumbini, which is now situated in Nepal. She was the queen of King Suddhodana, Gautam Buddha's father. Maya Devi is said to have died just seven days after giving birth to Gautam Buddha.
