Tibetan Handcrafted Medicine Buddha Mudra Art
The statue of Medicine Buddha was meticulously hand-carved here in our studio using traditional Himalayan artwork. This statue was hand craved from a copper body and then gilded with 24k genuine gold. The statue depicts the buddha seated over a moon disc lotus with a gentle expression while holding a herbal plant with his right hand while slightly touching the ground. He carries an Alms bowl which holds the long life nectar in his left hand. The intricate design patterns of the kasaya robes highlight the buddhas importance and the hardship our artists have to go through to create this flawless statue.
This will be a perfect gift for a practitioner like you from Nepal.

Medicine Buddha, also known as Bhaishajyaguru in Sanskrit, is regarded as the Buddha of Healing. His teachings aim to free sentient beings from sickness, pain, anguish, and unhappiness while also emphasizing the need to acquire prosperity and enjoyment in this life. Many meditators in the Mahayana tradition admire his healing abilities. He is frequently shown with a blue (lapis lazuli) body and hands carrying a begging bowl and medical herbs.
