Buddhist Mother Deity, Green Tara Statue
In this handmade statue, the Buddhist mother deity Green Tara is shown brilliantly. A Nepali craftsman in Kathmandu handcrafted it out of copper and gilded it with 24K gold. Tara's traditional vision is used to insert corals and turquoise into the decoration. She seems tranquil while reclining on a lotus seat, exuding good energy toward practitioners.

Tara is the rescuer, the embodiment of compassion, who reaches out and freely responds to everyone in need. Tara is fearless and selfless to a fault. Her most well-known forms are Green Tara and White Tara, though she also appears as Red Tara and in Dakini form occasionally. Green Tara states, "Om tare tuttare ture svaha." "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha," White Tara's mantra reads, "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha."
