24k Gold Gilded Sculpture to Help Practitioners Chant Vajrasattva's Om Vajrasattva Hum Mantra
Vajrasatva Sculpture is handcrafted in our studio using traditional Himalayan techniques to help practitioners to chat lord's Om Vajrasattva Hum Mantra. The deity is shown sitting serenely with his legs crossed atop a moon disc lotus seat, holding a bell in his left hand at hip level and a Vajra in his right hand close to his chest. The vajra symbolizes compassion, while the bell symbolizes knowledge. The body is molded with oxidized copper. Intricate decorative patterns are hand carved on the body. The lotus seat, robe, and embellishments all attest to this figure's high caliber. We used genuine 24K gold to gild the face. The robe, body ornaments, and lotus seat are all silver-plated. We also adorned the deity with valuable gemstones.

Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
