In our studio, we sculpted this beautiful statue using century-old techniques. The Enlightened One is depicted with a calm and scenery expression, sitting atop a moon disc of a lotus seat. The earlobes are pierced, the right hand is extended across the knee in the earth-touching gesture (mudra), and the left hand performs the meditation gesture (mudra) - palm upward in the lap holding an alms bowl. In a vajra posture, the legs are folded.
This beautiful work of art would make an excellent addition to your shrine to aid in your daily mindfulness practice.
