Gold Gilded Shakyamuni Buddha Statue Art
Our skilled artisans created this stunning Shakyamuni Buddha Statue art in our workshop in Kathmandu, Nepal. Traditionally hand crafted from a copper body, coated with 24k genuine gold and finely painted with acrylic paint, which further highlights the intricate design patterns which have been carved by the artists. The deity sits upon a moon disc lotus with a peaceful expression while he carries an alms bowl above his lap with his left hand and making the earth touching mudra with his right hand. The elegant gold-plated halo illuminates his face, which has been engraved with numerous gemstones and design patterns that signify the importance of the deity. The crown, kasaya robes and body ornaments have been flawlessly carved to bring out the most detailed representation of the Buddha. This statue took our artist months to sculpt.
This will be a perfect gift for a practitioner like you from Nepal.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain in life. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
