Hand-Carved Buddhist Deity Green Tara Mother Statue
We hand-carved the Green Tara Mother Statue using traditional Himalayan art techniques. The statue portrays the deity sitting on a lotus seat with a peaceful expression. She holds a lotus stem in each hand, with her right hand in the varada mudra and her left hand in the vitarka mudra. Her crown is intricately carved and adorned with turquoise and coral jewelry. We made the statue from copper and gilded it with 24K gold. We painted the body green with acrylic paint while the gold gilding to the crown, body ornaments, silk scarf, and lotus seat were visible. All the carvings were done by hand using a hammer and chisel.
The figurine weighs about 11.27 kg, and it took us many months of hard work and dedication to finish the statue.

She is "the mother of all buddhas" and "she who ferries beings over the ocean of samsara" since she embodies enlightened love and compassion. Her Mantra is " OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA".
In short, “om Tara Tuttare Ture Soha” means “I prostrate to the Liberator, Mother of all the Victorious Ones.
