Oxidized Copper Statue of the Green Tara, Female Bodhisattva of Compassion
We, Vajrayana artists from Kathmandu Valley, have masterfully hand-carved the Green Tara statue in the traditional Himalayan style. The statue is comprised of fine copper and is gilded in gold. As a representation of purity and enlightenment, Green Tara is depicted in the statue seated atop a moon disc lotus with two lotuses next to her; one fully bloomed and the other semi-blooming. Using her right and left hands, she does the "Varada Mudra" (a gesture of charity) and the "Vaidarka Mudra" (a gesture of discussion and transmission). Mother Tara's facial characteristics have been highlighted with acrylic paints, and the figure is encrusted with gemstones, particularly for the body jewelry, the crown, and the lotus seat.
It is the perfect keepsake for devout individuals like yourself, suitable for use in Buddhist rituals, and will make a magnificent addition to your altar.

Tara is the savior, the personification of compassion, the one who reaches out and freely replies to everyone who is suffering. Tara is courageous and generous to a fault. Green Tara and White Tara are her most popular incarnations, though she occasionally appears as Red Tara in Dakini form. "Om tare tuttare ture svaha," says Green Tara. White Tara's mantra is "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha," which means "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha."
