The Green Tara Also Jetsun Drolma Statue, The Saviouress
The Green Tara, also known as Jetsun Drolma is the saviouress. This statue is crafted of oxidized copper with a gold-gilded face and a gold body. Tara's enlightened activity has the capacity to safeguard those who connect with her practice from all anxieties and their sources.
According to the Tara Tantras, she was a Bodhisattva disciple of a Buddha from another world system. Yeshe Dawa was her name, and she had a strong trust in the Buddha of that world system, making massive gifts to him. She also went to get lectures and to do profound meditations. Following the lessons, a group of monks approached her and recommended that she should pray to be reincarnated as a man in order to go further in her future life.
She uttered their thoughts by telling the monks that only the "weak-minded" believe that gender is a barrier to enlightenment. Despite this, she realized that few women had developed the desire to work for the benefit of sentient beings in a feminine form. As a result, she made the wish to reincarnate in a feminine form many times over, actively working to free all beings until samsara was empty.
