The Medicine Buddha Buddhist Sculpture, The Healing Bhaisajyaguru
The Medicine Buddha Buddhist Sculpture was crafted using traditional Nepali methods in our studio. The figure was crafted using a copper body, gilded with 24k genuine gold and finely painted with acrylic paint, which further highlights the intricate design patterns of the statue. The statue depicts the deity peacefully seated in a meditative position as he is draped in royal majestic robes which are carved with Buddhist design patterns. He is calmly meditating with a vase in his left hand and a lotus in his right hand. The statue's appeal of the statue is heightened by its minor details.

Medicine Buddha, also known as Bhaishajyaguru in Sanskrit, is regarded as the Buddha of Healing. His teachings aim to free sentient beings from sickness, pain, anguish, and unhappiness while also emphasizing the need to acquire prosperity and enjoyment in this life. Many meditators in the Mahayana tradition admire his healing abilities. He is frequently shown with a blue (lapis lazuli) body and hands carrying a begging bowl and medical herbs.
