Traditional Hand Carved Statue of The Shakyamuni Buddha Statue
We, the artists from the Kathmandu Valley, sculpted this magnificent statue of the Buddha Shakyamuni in the traditional Himalayan manner. The figure of the Buddha shows him meditating while sitting on top of a moon disc lotus seat. The gold-plated halo beautifully illuminates his face, and the intricately carved lotus seat is stunning. This statue was initially hand-carved with a body made of pure copper, and then it was exquisitely gilded with 24k gold. We have magnificently adorned the statue with a precious hand-crafted robe which is very antique and valuable. We assure you that the materials used to craft the sculpture are of high quality and will last many years. His left hand carry an alms bowl, while his right hand is making an earth-touching mudra. This kind of indoor meditation statue will be an excellent dharma gift for a practitioner like you.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain in life. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
