Traditionally Gold Gilded Tibetan Chenrezig Statue
The traditional techniques used to create this Tibetan Chenrezig Statue were honed in our Nepal studio using the know-how handed down through the generations. The statue's body was carved from pure copper and gilded with real 24-karat gold. The most revered of all Bodhisattvas is Avalokitesvara, also known as "One who looks with the unwavering eye.". The deity is pictured sitting atop a moon disc lotus with her two front arms folded. His left hand holds a white lotus, and his upper right hand holds his distinctive symbol, a crystal rosary. Especially the nimbus of the deity is decorated so well with all those very uniquely designed patterns. On top of that, the whole throne and nimbus is detachable, and that parasol over the top makes the whole statue even more divine. The creation of this magnificent work of art required months of arduous work in our studio.
