Tibetan Guru Rinpoche Sculpture for Meditative and Religious Purposes
The magnificent statue of the Tibetan Guru Rinpoche was hand-carved in Nepal using traditional Himalayan techniques. The Lotus-Born is portrayed as having a semi-wrathful countenance. He sits majestically on a moon disc lotus seat with his left foot extended forward and a vase of the skull holding a jar of immortality in his left and Vajra in his right hand. In the arc of his right hand, he is also carrying the Khatvanga trident, his celestial ally of bliss and emptiness. This oxidized copper statue is full of intricately detailed hand carvings done by our Vajrayana artists over the course of several months.
