Traditional Himalayan Style Statue of Chenrezig for Yoga and Ritual
This statue of Chenrezig has been beautifully hand-carved in the traditional Himalayan technique. The bodhisattva sits in a relaxed posture in the statue with his left hand resting on his left knee. Two Utpala flowers, or Lotus flowers, a symbol of purity, enlightenment, and the triumph of spirit over adversity, bloom beside each of the Bodhisattva's shoulders. The Chenrezig Bodhisattva is seated upon a moon disc lotus seat with a contemplative facial expression. Our traditionally trained Vajrayana Artists have meticulously adorned this Chenrezig's statue with beautiful gemstones.

Chenrezig epitomizes the Bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenrezig/Avalokiteshvara is encouraged to develop of a calm and compassionate heart.
