Handmade Vairocana Cosmic Buddha Statue by Nepali Artists
This is a statue of Vairocana Cosmic Buddha sitting in a dhyani mudra on a moon disk lotus throne. We hand-carved this one of five Dhyani Buddhas from pure copper and 24k gold. The crown, jewels, and lotus seat were crafted by a Kathmandu Valley artist and painted with acrylic paint before plating with priceless gems and stones. It took several months to develop and sculpt this traditional Himalayan art, which is very holy in Nepal and Buddhism.
Vairocana makes the teaching gesture known as the Dharmachakra Mudra, representing the turning of the Wheel of Dharma. This gesture, combined with the serene and all-encompassing gaze of the Buddha, reflects Vairocana’s role in illuminating the minds of beings with the light of wisdom, guiding them towards enlightenment. The statue's intricate detailing and vibrant colors highlight the cosmic scope of Vairocana's enlightenment and his connection to all phenomena.

The Vairocana Buddha is a crucial figure in Mahayana Buddhism. He embodies the Buddhist concept of Shunyata, or emptiness, which must be realized to achieve enlightenment. Vairocana's teachings illuminate the route to liberation by transcending the confines of individual life and unveiling the universal nature of reality. He is frequently connected with the integration of wisdom and compassion. The Illuminating Vairocana Kunrig Statue brilliantly captures the essence of this cosmic Buddha, providing everyone seeking guidance on their spiritual path with a symbol of enlightenment and the universal truth of Buddhism.
