Gold-Plated Himalayan Vajrasattva Purification Statue
Vajrasattva Purification Statue was entirely hand-carved in Nepal using traditional Himalayan art. The deity is seen holding a bell in his left hand at hip level and a Vajra in his right hand close to his chest while sitting serenely with his legs crossed on a moon disc atop a lotus seat. The vajra represents compassion, while the bell represents knowledge. Copper is used to form the body. On the body, intricate decorative patterns are hand carved. We used a hammer and small chisels to hand-carve the intricate design patterns. To do delicate carvings, artists must have decades of experience as he has to create intricate design patterns on a small surface area. The hand-carved halo illuminates the face of the deity. Here in the statue, we have painted the body using acrylic paint. We further used it to highlight the facial attributes of the deity. While we have gilded the halo, a crown, body ornaments, a silk scarf, a robe, and petals of lotus seat with gold. The lotus seat, robe, and embellishments all speak to the high caliber of this figure. This figurine weighs about 23.78 kg, and it took us months and months of hard work and dedication to complete the statue.
You can use this large Vajrasattva Statue for different Buddhist ceremonies, Rituals, in Monasteries, and even for personal activities like daily Yoga and meditation.

Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
