Traditionally Hand Carved Vajrasattva Sculpture
We have traditionally hand-crafted the sculpture of Vajrasattva in a copper body and gilded it with genuine 24k gold. We have elegantly hand-painted the crown with acrylic colors and plated it with gold, which is mesmerizing. We are the Kathmandu Valley artist whose artisan in making ancient Vajrayana statues has passed through generations. We have depicted a deity atop a moon disc lotus seat with a peaceful expression, carrying a vajra in his left hand and a bell in his right hand. You can use this statue in different Buddhist auspicious rituals, at your regular meditational or yoga activities, and even in various indoor activities. The ornaments are adorned and embellished with precious gold, which is of high quality and will last for many years. Vajrasattva is the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
